                                           ...and what's this new TIF?

Your Village Board has recently acquired a few properties near North Avenue and Metra for the purpose of moving along redevelopment products.  Until the projects get further underway I'll refrain from saying any more.  But, I hope to be saying more real soon!

Also, we've had a couple agenda items recently that pertain to a TIF feasibility study around the former Oakfield Ford property.  Of course the idea of such a TIF would be to leverage the success of the Ovaltine TIF toward recovering from the loss of Oakfield Ford.  Although I am reluctant to TIF any more of Villa Park, I think this particular case sounds like a winner.  The feasibility study will tell more when it's completed.
